Track Overview
In this track, you will learn all about child development with a particular focus on early childhood education. You will explore the stages of child development, program standards related to health, safety and nutrition, classroom management techniques, curriculum development, and career pathways.
You will have the opportunity to create your own early childhood learning space, review and critique lesson plans, and develop your own curriculum plan for one week of themed learning.
The primary learning outcomes are:
- To apply critical and creative thinking, adaptability and influence skills in designing early childhood learning spaces and experiences
- To use effective and engaging presentation skills to communicate your ideas
- To practice communication and collaboration skills in working with peers and mentors to gather and utilize feedback
