Track Overview
In this track, you will explore consumer behavior and increase your understanding of how marketers and businesses influence our decisions as consumers. We will deep dive into retail store design and customer service as two levers that impact consumer buying decisions. You will also explore various career pathways related to consumer behavior.
As part of your experience with this track, you will have the opportunity to design your ideal retail space and/or pitch an end cap display for products of your choice. You will also have the chance to assess a recent customer service experience and outline your top 5 customer service practices.
The primary learning outcomes are:
- To apply critical thinking, empathy and creativity in designing a retail space and product displays to influence consumer behavior
- To practice pitching your ideas and using influence skills to persuade others to consider / adopt your design concepts and/or prioritized customer service practices
