Track Overview
In this track, you will explore nursing career pathways and effective practices in healthcare including patient rights, accident/injury prevention, body mechanics, infection control, patient care and nutrition.
You will have the opportunity to build your portfolio with instructional videos / demonstrations, a patient care plan, and a healthcare setting analysis. For your final 3-5 minute presentation for this project, you will be invited to select one of your portfolio items to share with your peers and career mentors.
The primary learning outcomes are:
- To apply empathy and creativity in designing instructional videos related to nursing practices
- To apply critical thinking and effective communication skills in preparing a patient care plan
- To demonstrate confidence and communicate clearly when preparing and delivering portfolio items and presentations
